Tracy

Golden Plover

Tracy started her career as a member of barstaff at the Golden Plover 15 years ago.  She graduated to assistant manager and then moved onto other pubs in the Sheffield area.  She returned three years ago and was a key part in the pubs success.

Whilst undertaking a relief at the Blue Bell Aston it was apparent that Tracy was ready and eager to take on the managers role and all the responsibilities that this brings.

Tracy introduced entertainment, and has organised many fund raising activities during the last twelve months, as well as starting a pool team and running two very successful quizzes a week. This has seen sales and profits grow and the pub is now the heart of the community.

Folowing a very succesful year Tracy is now returning to the Golden Plover or as she thinks of it "my spiritual home" as manager to continue her own success story.

Gemma

Half Moon

 Gemma was working locally, but being entreprenurial she felt she wanted an opportunity to flex her creative muscles, and so answered  an ad for a manager at the Half Moon in Bishop Stortford.

Gemma has been there for over a year and runs the pub her way.  She has a thriving music scene with Blues, Acoustic, Jazz and Folk clubs which has even released a CD, along with adding a comedy club. She has the ability to produce good events and is popular locally. Gemma is now planning for next year which she insists will be even better.
